All right, you booked a car in Bishkek and ready to go.
Anyway, when you rent a 4×4 in Kyrgyzstan the question of petrol stations occurs when you are planning a route

Important note: Google Maps, Maps.me or other Navigation applications doesn’t have all proper information about Petrol Stations location.
However, don’t worry –  There are enought Fuel stations on your way between popular locations.

 

Type of Fuel:

All our cars for rent in Kygyzstan are works on Petrol. The required fuel level is 95.
On the petrol stations find the label “АИ-95” in Cyrillic.

How to refuel your car?

In Central Asia almost at all petrol station same sequence for the refueling:

1. Park your car at the fuel dispenser
2. Take proper refueling nozzle АИ-95
3. Put refueling nozzle to your Fuel Tank
4. Go to Cash register
5. Pay for the Fuel (only in local currency)
6. Refuel your car

Note: If you want to make a Full tank – you can say “Полный бак” (“Full Tank” – eng) and give more cash than it is required for your full tank.
After refuelling you can pick-up your change. Attention: Change can be provided only for Cash Payments.

 

Follow simple rules and you will be on the safe side:

1. Refuel only at reliable big-networks of petrol stations
   (By Keyword “АЗС“, which means “Auto-Refueling Station” Google Maps shows the biggest quantity of Petrol Stations)
2. Be sure that you took correct refueling nozzle
3. Refuel a Full Tank before driving out to long way
4. Properly close the fuel tank cap

Attention: Petrol & Diesel refueling nozzle have same size in Central Asia. Check twice which refueling nozzle you take.

 

How to choose reliable a network petrol station?

The logic is very simple:

• It should looks good
• It should be on the main road

If you cannot find a Petrol Station ask local people where is the best fuel station in the area

Warning:

• Bad fuel quality can be dangerous for the car and ruin your trip
• Do not refuel your car from people who sell fuel on side of the road.
